Good to know
Dedicated fibre (FTTO, Fiber To The Office) connects your site to our network over a fibre shared with no one. The speed is guaranteed in both directions, and a guaranteed repair time (GTR) applies if it fails. It is open to everyone, individuals included; it is aimed first at businesses, associations and sites that need a guaranteed speed.
How it works
The link is delivered by an infrastructure operator (Orange, Bouygues Telecom, Covage, Axione, ielo, Prizz Télécom…), then carried to our network: your traffic reaches the Internet through AS2027, with our IP addresses.
The eligibility check queries the operators for your building and shows the available offers, from the lowest speed to the highest, with their price excl. VAT, setup fee and repair time. You pick an offer and send us a quotation request: a volunteer checks feasibility with the operator and gets back to you.
Speed and repair time
- Speeds from 2 Mbit/s to 10 Gbit/s depending on the building, guaranteed and symmetric.
- 4-hour repair time during business hours on guaranteed-speed offers; some operators offer a 24/7 repair time as an option, with its price shown in the check.
- A few cheaper “burst” offers have a non-guaranteed speed and a next-business-day repair time: they are flagged as such.
What you need
We do not supply a router: the operator installs its termination equipment, and you connect your own router to it, which you are responsible for.
Addressing
The offer includes one routed IPv4 address and a routed IPv6 /48. Additional IPv4 addresses and BGP delivery are possible: mention it in your request.
Terms
- Prices excl. VAT, 12-month minimum term on most offers; the setup fee depends on the operator and the building.
- Delivery time depends on the infrastructure operator: allow several weeks in general, civil works included.
