How it works
- You send your request
Your configuration is attached. Nothing to pay at this stage.
- A volunteer replies
By e-mail: a few questions if needed, then you sign our terms and a SEPA mandate online.
- You order in Univers
Your subscriber area is created. You order the service there and pay the first instalment by card; the next ones are direct-debited.
- Service delivery
Depends on RIPE NCC lead times to assign the resource, usually a few days to a few weeks.

Good to know
As an LIR and member of the RIPE NCC, we can request an AS number or an IPv6 PI prefix on your behalf: this is known as RIPE sponsoring. We can also assign you an IPv6 PA (Provider Aggregatable) prefix taken from our allocation.
How it works
- AS number (ASN): it identifies your network in Internet routing and lets you announce your prefixes over BGP, with us or with several operators.
- IPv6 PI (Provider Independent) prefix: a /48 assigned in your name by the RIPE NCC. It stays with you if you change operator.
- IPv6 PA prefix: a /48 taken from MilkyWan’s allocation. We offer /48 blocks; if you need more, just ask.
- Resource transfer: moving to us a resource already assigned and sponsored by another LIR.
Terms
Resources are associated with a legal entity or an individual. If you request a resource in your own name, it will be shown publicly as such in the RIPE database. The RIPE NCC bills resources once a year, at the start of the year.
To announce your resources, you need IP transit, from €10 per month excl. VAT, or the BGP transit option of a virtual machine, at €5 per month incl. VAT for 10 Mbit/s.
Limits
Unlike a PI prefix, the PA prefix remains attached to MilkyWan: if you leave, it comes back to us.
